MATERIAL PROPERTIES TEST

Synthetic Blood Test

Tested in accordance to ASTM F1862-17 Standard, novita Surgical Respirator has passed the 120 mmHg high-velocity stream of synthetic blood fluid resistance test to provide complete protection with breathable comfort.

Flammability TEST

Tested in accordance to ASTM F2100-19, novita Surgical Respirator material does not ignite and passed the Flammability Test requirements specified in 16 CFR Part 1610.

Through scientific enhancement, novita Surgical Respirator R2 is enhanced with antimicrobial properties through the infusion of nano copper ions into the electrostatic melt-blown fibre and reinforced by copper oxides to serve as the first line of defence against bacteria. Providing safer and longer usage for the wearer, this additional protection also helps to reduce the infection risks from discarded surgical respirator after use, to prevent any potential biohazard or secondary transmission, protecting the wearer and those in proximity.

NANO COPPER IONS

Harnessing the oligodynamic properties of copper, nano copper ions are infused into the electrostatic melt-blown fibres to exhibit antimicrobial effect.

Oxygen ion beam treatment is applied onto the melt-blown fibres to strengthen the adhesion of the nano copper ions. By doing so, oxygen molecules react with copper ions to form copper oxides, a reactive oxygen species.

The copper oxides (CuO) reinforced the nano copper ions (Cu2+) to penetrate and actively eliminate bacteria via oxidative damage.

R2 WEARING GUIDE

Use the AB Spray to perform hand hygiene before putting on the surgical respirator.

Unfold the surgical respirator. Flatten the metal nose bridge then bend it into a contour.

Hold the surgical respirator by the ear loops. Place a loop around each ear.

Position the surgical respirator under your chin with the nose bridge up.

Using both hands, bend the metal nose bridge to fit snugly against your nose and face.

Perform a fit check. Place both hands completely over the surgical respirator. Exhale sharply to check for air leaks.

Use the AB Spray to perform hand hygiene before putting on the surgical respirator.
